Northwest University of Political Science and Law (NWUPL) is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver 3+1 undergraduate programmes in Law, specifically in the fields of International Business Law, Maritime Law, International Trade Law, and Intellectual Property Law. They are aiming to recruit up to 120 students per year, with 40-60 students estimated to spend their final year in the UK. Enrollment is expected to begin in 2020.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties:
The selected UK partners will be expected to work with NWUPL to:
- Develop the curriculum for the joint programmes
- Provide qualified teaching staff to conduct teaching in China
- Support Chinese students preparation to study in the UK in their final year
- Provide support in the quality assurance of the programmes
- Issue bachelor’s degrees to students upon successful completion of the programmes in the UK
NWUPL will be responsible for:
- Promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
- Providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
- Supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK
- Issuing undergraduate graduation certificates and bachelor’s degrees to the students upon successful completion of the programmes
About NWUPL
Northwest University of Political Science and Law (NWUPL), based in Xi’an, is one of the top universities for law in China, ranked 8th in the country in 2019. The university was originally founded in 1937 as Northern Shaanxi School of Politics and Law, The university currently offers 32 undergraduate programmes and 35 postgraduate and PhD programmes. In addition to law, the university has highly-ranked programmes in the fields of economics, philosophy, arts and engineering. The university has already established several 3+1 joint programmes with universities in the US and South Korea.
