Opportunity
Northeastern University is looking for UK partners to develop and deliver 4+0 or 3+1 undergraduate programmes in the fields of electronic and information engineering, communication engineering, computer science and technology, internet of things engineering, and biomedical engineering with the aim of recruiting up to 300 students per year. They plan to have the first enrolment in 2020.

Areas of responsibility for the two collaborating parties:
The selected UK partners will be expected to work with Northeastern University to:
- develop the curricula for the joint programmes
- provide qualified teaching staff to conduct teaching in China
- provide support in the quality assurance of the programmes
- issue bachelor degrees to students upon successful completion of the programmes
Northeastern University will be responsible for:
- promoting and recruiting students for the programmes
- providing qualified teaching staff as well as the required teaching premises and logistical support for the joint programmes
- supporting prospective students in preparing to study in the UK as part of the programmes
- issue undergraduate diplomas and bachelor degrees to the students upon successful completion of the programmes
About NEU
Founded in April 1923, Northeastern University (NEU) is designated as a national key university of the “211 Project” and “985 Project” under the direct administration of the Ministry of Education. It is situated in Shenyang, the central city of North-eastern China. NEU has 66 undergraduate programs, with disciplines covering philosophy, economics, law, education, literature, science, engineering, management, art and other subject areas. NEU has strengths in technological innovation, technology transfer, and university-industry cooperation. NEU’s Qinhuangdao Campus is located in Qinhuangdao, which is a coastal city within a two-hour train journey to Beijing.

Timeline
The Chinese University would like to schedule reciprocal visits in spring or summer 2018, with a view to confirming a partnership in spring 2019.
