In a bid to promote awareness about the possibilities available in Nigeria’s developing Cross Border Higher Education (CBHE) sector, the British Council in partnership with the Nigerian Universities Commission (NUC) organised an event in September 2012 to bring together high profile stakeholders and decision makers in both UK and Nigerian Higher Education sector. The objective of the meeting was to explore potential partnership opportunities with specific focus on split-site models that would lead to an increase in PhD degrees acquired by academic staff of Nigerian universities.
Sequel to this event, British Council Nigeria proposes to organise a similar event in 2013. To this end we have developed an online survey from which we hope to extract information about specific sector needs. We hope that the information we garner from the survey will help to tailor any future events in this field.
We are also sending out similar surveys to the Nigerian Higher Education sector to ensure have a clear view of the partnership needs from both sides of the divide.
We therefore ask that all Higher Education institutions with specific interest in developing links and partnerships in Nigeria please click on the link below to take our survey. We ask that all interested institutions complete the survey by the 17 of December 2012.
