We are delighted to offer you the opportunity to participate in our MENA regional school counsellor symposium in Dubai on 8/9 March 2015. The two-day symposium is aimed at school counsellors from both government and private schools across the MENA region. We expect to attract an audience of between 100 and 150 school counsellors primarily from Saudi Arabia, Oman, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Jordan and Egypt.
The aims of the event are to improve the counselling and support provided to students to ensure they make the best choices with regard to international education and their future career and to help promote graduate employability in the region. To do this by:
• Providing counsellors with the information/skills they need to support students effectively in choosing courses and applying to international/UK institutions
• Providing counsellors with skills to counsel and support students effectively
• Providing counsellors with tools to maximise the opportunities for graduate employability across the region.
The two days will comprise a number of plenary sessions and parallel workshop sessions.
If you would like to express interest in being part of this event, please provide the information below to Kate Owen, Regional Manager Middle East & Africa kate.owen@britishcouncil.org by the deadline of 18 July. Your session should relate to one of the aims of the symposium above.
