Opportunity

A South China-based A-level school is seeking a UK partner to host study camps to allow their Chinese students to experience the learning environment in the UK.

The study camps should be two to three weeks in length and host 20-30 Chinese secondary school students (aged 15-17). The programme should offer the participants an immersive experience through sessions on English language, British culture, sports and other hands-on activities. If possible, they hope that the Chinese students will have the opportunity to study together with the local secondary school students.

Brief introduction to the Chinese institution

The Chinese institution is a certified and authorised Cambridge International Examination (CIE) centre, located in Guangdong province.

The Chinese institution was founded in March 2014, and welcomed the first batch of students in September the same year. Currently it offers IGCSE and A-Level curriculum programmes, and administers related examinations for students on the programmes. They currently have one IGCSE, one AS and one A2 class with a total student number of around 50.

Prior to becoming a CIE school, the centre provided programmes such as ACT, SAT and AP, the Singapore-Cambridge A-Level programme, and Edexcel A-Level programmes since 1997.
