Registrations are now open for UK institutions to join and contribute to the first face-to-face UK-Romania higher education partnerships event, as part of the Going Global Partnerships Programme.
Taking place in Bucharest, on 5 to 6 February 2024, the two-day participatory forum will bring together Romanian and UK universities as well as agencies to better understand the higher education context and needs in both countries, and to connect with potential partners to initiate dialogues leading to possible collaboration.

About the event
Across two days, the event includes:
- agency presentations / panel discussion: their role and how they can support collaboration between the two countries
- overview of Transnational Education (TNE) models, case studies of different, existing Romania-UK TNE programmes
- facilitated discussions to scope the needs, priorities and recommendations for potential collaborations
- thematic workshops on TNE models and approaches
- event networking session.

Thematic workshops
The forum will have a strong focus on the TNE models and approaches in an evolving landscape. Run in a World Café Format the workshops are meant to allow delegates to explore areas of greatest interest to them.

Funding: Accommodation will be arranged and covered by the British Council Romania, meals will be provided during the event. However, participants will need to bear their respective costs for travel.
