The British Council seeks an organization to carry out research on Peruvian universities’ internationalisation and the drivers of undergraduate and postgraduate student mobility from Peru. The intended research should include comprehensive qualitative and a quantitative analysis, based on both desk research and original research (such as interviews, surveys and focus groups) on Peruvian international education policies, local institutions’ internationalisation strategies and goals, and key decision-making factors and perceptions of potential and former international students. This will contribute to a better understanding of inward and outward mobility and research collaboration international trends which, in turn, will enhance strategies to develop Peru-UK engagement and mutual collaboration in higher education internationalisation agendas. Furthermore, it will complement bilateral commitment to the implementation and leveraging of the Treaty on the Mutual Recognition of Degrees between the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland and the Republic of Peru, signed in Peru by UK Foreign Secretary, Boris Johnson, and Peruvian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Nestor Popolizio, on May 19th 2018, and currently in the process of ratification by parliament in both Peru and the UK.
