British Council Thailand
The British Council is inviting Expressions of Interest from UK experts and Further Education colleges to design and deliver training courses for directors, deputy directors, teachers and students of vocational education colleges in Thailand.
This project is in partnership with Office of Vocational Education Commission, Ministry of Education, one of the British Council’s key educational partners in Thailand.

Project Background
The project is co-funded by British Council Thailand through the UK ASEAN Knowledge Partnership funding, together with the Office of Vocational Education Commission.
A key element for the sustainability of this project is the development and implementation of identified strategies to support the ongoing development of the Thai vocational education sector. This development will support the Thai vocational education sectors at all levels to internationalise and build capacity to produce graduates with the right skills demanded by Thai industries at regional, national and international levels. This development will particularly meet the needs of Thailand within the ASEAN economic community.

Project Objectives
To provide effective capacity building programmes for Thai vocational education sector personnel, improving the capacity of the Thai vocational education sector personnel to achieve the economic growth and sustainability of Thailand’s internationalised programmes. The project is also to provide more capacity and future opportunities for Thai colleges to establish partnerships with UK colleges, as a long term and sustainable outcome.

Priority subject areas
According to Office of Vocational Education Commission, the 2 priority areas we would like to focus on with this project are:
1. Mechanics
2. Hospitality and Tourism
