The British Council and the Thailand Research Fund have launched a call for Institutional Links as part of the Newton Fund initiative to encourage international research collaboration between researchers from Thailand and the UK.
Newton Institutional Links provides grants for the development of research and innovation collaborations between the UK and Thailand. The research facilitated by these grants tackles local development needs and challenges such as extreme weather conditions, access to affordable health care, food and energy security.
Unless specified otherwise in the guidelines, all research areas are covered, including the natural sciences, humanities and social sciences.
The Newton Fund is part of the UK's official development assistance programme. Through the Newton Fund, the UK will use its strength in research and innovation to promote economic development and social welfare of partner countries.
