The British Council is delighted to invite you to our latest webinar In Conversation with UKVI - International Student Recruitment'’ on 4 November, 11:00am - 12:00pm GMT.

As the UK is due to leave the EU and introduce a graduate route in 2021, there will be considerable changes on the horizon for visa and immigration regulations. The UK government has announced that new routes for international students to apply for visas have opened up in October, including a points-based immigration system will “open up the UK to the brightest and the best from around the world”.

Join British Council’s Immigration Advisor, Helen Clews, where Helen will be joined by an UKVI representative and together they will highlight the changes and provide expert guidance.

This session will also address some of the practical problems faced by visa applicants due to Covid-19, including visa application and IELTS centre closures, delayed exam results and distance learning exceptions. We will explore what flexible measures have been implemented and offer advice on what can be done to progress the visa application process.

Helen recently commented: “We welcome joint webinars such as this one and we are committed to working with UKVI to ensure our visa system remains flexible and responsive to ensure the UK remains an internationally attractive place to study.”
