About Asian Aviation Centre
The Asian Aviation Centre (Pvt) Limited (AAC) is a registered private limited liability company since 1985 and started first with operating a flying training school providing ab-initio pilot training. In 1990, apart from flying training activities, the AAC commenced a programme of studies to train students in Aircraft Maintenance and to enable them to sit for the examination conducted by the Department of Civil Aviation of Sri Lanka (now the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka) for the issuance of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licences.
There are two distinct schools AAC-
- The Academy of Aeronautical Engineering (AAC Engineering Academy) and
- The Asian Aerospace College (AAC Flight Academy).
Expected collaboration
Engineering Foundation Programs
AAC’s research has shown that in Sri Lanka today, there is a tendency for students to pursue Engineering Foundation Program as an alternative to the GCE Advanced Level Examination. AAC already have the facility to start this course in their institute effortlessly. They hope to affiliate this Program with a University and provide a more suitable course for the students.
AAC has 35 years of experience and have already identified the need to expand their curriculum. Therefore, they hope to implement the full or partial syllabus in Sri Lanka by partnering with the most suitable University / Universities for the following Courses which AAC wish to introduce.
- Undergraduate Degree - Mechanical Engineering Program
- Undergraduate Degree -Manufacturing Engineering Program
MSc / PGDip Program in Aviation
AAC is the only institute which continues to operate for the longest period with the approval of the Civil Aviation Authority of Sri Lanka. AAC has recognized the MSc / PGDip program in Aviation as a suitable Program to be conducted in Sri Lanka.
Prospective UK University to establish its courses in Sri Lanka
In addition to the above courses, AAC hopes to negotiate with prospective universities for constructive business opportunities.
