Inner Mongolia Normal University’s School of Foreign Languages would like to fund three to four of its students to study in the UK for two years as part of a 2+2 articulation programme in English Literature, Applied Translation, English Education or Business English. Students who successfully complete the programme would be awarded a degree from both universities.

About Inner Mongolia Normal University’s School of Foreign Languages  

Established in 1959, Inner Mongolia Normal University is the Teacher Training Center and IELTS test centre for the whole of Inner Mongolia. This university is based in Hohhot, the capital city of Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. There are over 1,000 undergraduates and 300 postgraduates at the School of Foreign Languages. Since 2011, the school has established partnerships with universities in the UK, USA, Russia and Japan and over 70 students have studied overseas through exchange and articulation programmes.

The School of Foreign Languages offers courses in English literature, linguistics, business English, English education, translation and interpreting.

Inner Mongolia is an autonomous region of the People's Republic of China. It is located in the north of the country, bordering Mongolia and Russia. It covers an area of 463,000 square miles or 12% of China's total land area and has a population of 25 million, under 2% of China's total. Inner Mongolia has an abundance of natural resources especially coal, cashmere, natural gas and rare earth elements.

Timeline

The School of Foreign Languages would like to receive responses from UK universities in April with detailed communication taking place between the two parties in May and June, with a view to start sending students to the UK from September 2016.
