After a successful first capacity building workshop, the British Council in India is offering UK universities a further opportunity to collaborate with the University of Delhi, by delivering a transformative capacity-building workshop for faculty and administrators.

You can contribute to the growth and development of educators and professionals, whilst forging valuable connections with the university.  

Workshop objectives

  1. Capacity-building in critical areas, including internationalisation, innovative teaching methodologies, administrative skills, and best practices.
  2. A transformative, seven to ten days of classroom experience.
  3. Exploration of pioneering teaching methods, research and innovation hubs, effective administrative strategies, and more.
  4. A deeper understanding of cultural dynamics, centres of excellence, available courses, UK HEI application procedures, and global academic cultures.
  5. Engage in discussions and meetings with faculty/ administrative staff of the UK university to explore future collaboration in the areas of student mobility, research opportunities, faculty exchange in areas of mutual interest.

Delegation composition: Comprising approx. 20 members, including faculty and administrators from the University of Delhi

Expressions of interest should include the following

  1. Outline of a comprehensive, seven-to-ten-day workshop programme for approximately 20 participants, tailored to the specific needs of the delegation, including suggested dates between October and early November 2024.
  2. Confirmation that essential logistics within the UK (including accommodation, airport transfers, meals and local travel within the UK) will be arranged (£30,000 budget to be provided). The University of Delhi will fund course fees, accommodation and living expenses for up to 20 participants and will cover and arrange travel, visa and travel insurance costs for the delegation.
  3. Confirmation that logistical arrangements will be made for one British Council member of staff accompanying the delegation.
  4. Plans for possible meetings between faculty/administrative staff from the University of Delhi and representatives from other departments of the host institution and external stakeholders to explore future collaboration or partnerships.

The host institution will be selected based on the strength of the proposed programme by the British Council in consultation with the University of Delhi.
