British Council Mexico is currently accepting applications to the Higher Education Links programme, which is offering seed funding for high quality collaborations between Mexican HE institutions and UK education and research organisations. The aim is to support the strengthening of Mexican institutions´ role in society not only as academic units but also as regional development drivers, enabling them to translate their institutional efforts into economic and societal benefit.

This programme is designed to be flexible and responsive to Mexico's needs, allowing applicants to establish collaborations on areas linked to regional priorities and to bring in public, private and third sector partners. Higher Education Links also promotes transnational education strategies that have the potential to positively impact on the current socio-economic development efforts in Mexico. Proposals submitted for this call must be aligned with a wider Higher Education strategy. It is important to consider that this programme is not intended to fund research activities on specific areas of knowledge.
