In the last couple of years there has been a decline in the number of students opting to study in UK, and one of the reasons being reduced employment opportunities in the UK due changes in the student visa policy. Choosing to study in the UK is a huge investment for an Indian student and his/her family, and return of investment is a major factor affecting the decision making process to study abroad.
As part of the GREAT Campaign-India, the British Council and its partners’ are hoping to address this concern in different ways, one of which is through the publication of a booklet “GREAT Career Guide’. This booklet will feature articles of popular subjects that Indian students choose to study in the UK and opportunities that can be availed thereafter. The booklet will also showcase success stories of alumni and will have articles from recruiters and recruitment agencies in India.
The booklet will be launched at the Education UK Exhibition in November 2013 along with the GREAT Scholarships – India, and we expect significant media coverage for this event. 60,000 copies of the booklet will be published and distributed across our events and outreach programmes. The digital version of the booklet will promoted on various social media platforms and on the Education UK website and the GREAT microsite.
This is a fantastic opportunity for UK institutions to showcase their strengths. We are seeking contributory articles with a word limit of 300 to 350 words, on various topics/subjects mentioned below.
