The 2015-16 partnership between the Government’s GREAT Campaign and the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race provides a unique springboard for British

Established 20 years ago this series will be the tenth anniversary edition. It has built a strong reputation and is a powerful blend of intense competition and human endeavour. It is now the world’s longest ocean race and enables individuals to take on the toughest oceans on the planet. No previous sailing experience is required as crew complete a comprehensive pre-race training programme.

THE GREAT BRITAIN CAMPAIGN
GREAT is the Government’s most ambitious international marketing campaign ever and showcases the very best of what Britain has to offer in order to encourage the world to visit, study and do business with the UK. The campaign is currently active in over 144 countries and combines
the international growth promotion efforts of UK Trade & Investment, VisitBritain, British Council and FCO. GREAT aims to deliver significant and long-term increases in trade, tourism, education and inward investment to support the prosperity and growth agenda.

The great British spirit of adventure is not confined to exploration and sport but extends to creativity, business innovation and entrepreneurship. The Clipper Race builds on this and our history as a great maritime trading nation to be the perfect metaphor for GREAT!
