Current undergraduates and recent graduates of universities in England, Scotland and Wales are invited to apply for a fully-funded online summer internship with a company in China through the Generation UK programme.

Whatever their ambitions for the future, an online internship with a company based in China can help students and graduates stand out from the crowd.  New industries and work opportunities in China are rising faster than the skyscrapers that accommodate them.  Companies across the world will value the international experience and increased cultural awareness Generation UK interns will obtain from the programme.  They’ll also benefit from access to online training courses, mentors and coaches to develop their business and cultural awareness, offering them valuable insight into the customs and traditions of China.

What do applicants get?

All successful applicants will get:

  • an 8-week online internship with 20–30 hours working from the comfort of their own home
  • the chance to develop their understanding of Chinese culture, history and language
  • weekly virtual events aimed at improving employability, cultural fluency and digital skills
  • dedicated support throughout the internship.

Please note that this is an online internship and no travel to China will be included.

Applicants must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be currently enrolled at, or graduated in the last two years from, a university in England, Scotland or Wales
  • have completed at least one academic year at university

  • have achieved, or be on track to achieve, a 2:1 degree
