The tenth annual conference for New and Emerging Paradigms for Education Abroad will take place April 2-4, 2014, at the Sheraton San Diego Hotel & Marina in San Diego, CA. Education abroad is undergoing dramatic change. Driven by unprecedented commitment from U.S. and other governments and higher education institutions; strong faculty involvement in program design and delivery; advances in e-learning applications; and more effective assessment efforts and data collation, universities and international education organizations are taking a fresh look at education abroad to better prepare students to meet global challenges. The conference will address these new models of education and how study abroad shapes students’ lives, from pre-departure through return and on to lifelong learning experiences.
More details and a call for session and workshop proposals is available at www.forumea.org/CallforProposalsSD14.cfm. The British Council can connect potential applicants seeking partners for submission of proposals. The deadline for proposals is August 16, 2013.
