UK universities are invited to participate in the British Council’s China Schools Roadshow 2017, scheduled to take place from 17 to 30 October 2017.  Capitalising on two successful Roadshows in 2015 and 2016, the 2017 Roadshow is now open for applications from all UK universities.

The Roadshow is tailor-made to provide UK universities with a wide and effective platform to raise their profile in China and recruit prospective students as well as establish and strengthen links with schools in China. It will coincide with the China Education Expo 2017, which will run from 21 October to 29 October 2017 - a time when Chinese students will begin the decision-making process for overseas study destinations.

Outline

Featuring a series of promotional activities, the Roadshow will consist of five stops visiting local schools in major student-sending cities across mainland China (itinerary as below). Each stop will provide the opportunity to visit a maximum of two schools. The focus of the Roadshow is to facilitate interaction and develop strong relationships between visiting universities and host institutions. This will be achieved through activities including: meeting local school contacts to explore opportunities for partnership building; delivering presentations to highlight the unique selling points of participating universities; interactive panel discussions on topics of interest to the students (AS level and below or equivalent); Q&A or individual counselling sessions with interested students; and distribution of promotional materials.  British Council staff will be on hand to answer general enquiries.
