Do you work with EU students who are considering studying in the UK? Does your institution work with agents or counsellors supporting EU students?
Created specifically for EU agents, counsellors, and study abroad advisers to help them better support students interested in studying in the UK, a series of webinars will run from September 2024 to March 2025, with content specially relevant to EU countries.
The webinars go hand-in-hand with the training available on our agent and counsellor training and engagement hub. They are designed to provide advisers based in the EU, EEA or Switzerland with specific knowledge and up-to-date information for their students about applying to study in the UK, and to give them a better understanding of the UK Agent Quality Framework (AQF). Teachers who occasionally advise students are also welcome, even if they are not professional advisers.
These are not 'presentation-only' webinars; participants can raise a hand to join in with the conversation live, ask questions and share experiences. Speakers will include British Council representatives, representatives from higher education bodies (UCAS, BUILA and others) and UK higher education institutions. Advisers can join the webinars whether or not they are registered on the agent and counsellor training and engagement hub, although we highly recommend registration to the hub to any study abroad adviser wishing to provide the best possible counselling to students.
In addition, we'll be running a webinar in December on student visas which is open to students and parents as well (this will be a 'Teams Live' presentation format, with questions possible via the chat function). Please note that other webinars in the series are designed for agents and counsellors only, and are not appropriate for students or parents.
We look forward to meeting many agents and counsellors in the coming months!
