In a bid to promote the development of entrepreneurial skills in Nigerian youth, the British Council, Nigeria in Partnership with Virgin Atlantic Airways has developed its first on-line enterprise competition called the “Enterprise Challenge”.
The competition is designed to test a range a of consumerist skills and will take place in 3 cycles over a 5 week period.
It is open to all Nigerian students studying at either undergraduate or postgraduate level in the UK who fall within the 18 to 35 year age bracket.
Participants will compete for the opportunity to win premium economy return tickets to Nigeria (courtesy Virgin Atlantic), and to meet with and be mentored by one the UK's foremost entrepreneurs and Chairman of the Virgin Group, Sir Richard Branson.
We strongly believe that this competition will give young Nigerians (in Nigeria and the UK) an opportunity to share their ideas for innovation and change through its platform. It is also great opportunity to raise your institution's profile locally as the competition will be covered in the National Dailies and winners profiled
We invite interested institutions to share the information with their students who fit the given criteria. Further information about the competition, tasks and timelines for participation can be obtained by contacting us directly via email on eduk.enquiries@ng.britishcouncil.org. Please note the competition officially opens to the public on the 16th of May 2014 and it will be hosted on the British Council's corporate website. (Please note that the site will not be live till the 16th as stated above)
