UK universities are invited to participate in the British Council’s transnational education (TNE) zone at the China Education Expo 2017, which is scheduled to take place in Beijing on 21-22 October and in Shanghai on 28-29 October. The TNE Zone, which will celebrate the breadth and depth of UK universities’ joint programmes / joint institutes in China, is now open for applications from all UK universities.

The TNE zone is specifically designed to provide UK universities with an effective platform to recruit prospective students and raise institution’s profiles by showcasing what their TNE programmes have to offer. The UK is currently in the number one position in China’s transnational education market in terms of the number of partnerships, with nearly 270 joint programmes approved by the Ministry of Education, totalling a 23 per cent market share. Nearly 57,000 mainland Chinese students are following UK qualifications in China through transnational education.

The TNE Zone will allow UK institutions to showcase their joint programmes / joint institutes in China officially approved by Ministry of Education to a highly diversified target audience, of which many will be deciding where and how to pursue a UK degree.
