Qtone Education Co Ltd is seeking a UK partner school to host two week spring and summer study camps on an annual basis starting from March 2016.

About Qtone Education Co Ltd

Qtone is a leading Chinese educational IT service company, whose services are used by 25 million primary and secondary school students and 8,000 schools in 45 cities and 13 provinces across China.

It is the first public educational IT company in China and with a market capitalization of 8.59 billion RMB the largest company of its kind in China.

In order to meet the needs of its school subscribers, in addition to its online offering, Qtone opened its study abroad division in March 2014. Within a few months its overseas short term study camps had developed into one of its most popular products.

Project background

In March 2015, Qtone held a pilot study camp for school students from Guangdong Province, in partnership with an American School. The pilot project proved to be very successful and Qtone decided to formally roll out the project to include more destination countries including the UK.

Qtone plan to send 20 to 30 students to each study camp every Spring and Autumn: Each camp will be two weeks in duration. Students will range in age from 12 to 15 years and will predominantly come from Southern China.

Input and support from Qtone

• Qtone will be responsible for marketing and recruitment and guarantee at least 20 students per camp for the host schools
• Qtone will be responsible for pre departure logistic arrangements, including the arrangement of visas and air tickets.

Timeline

Aug to Sep 2015: Identify partner schools in the UK
Oct to Nov 2015: Promotional road shows at Chinese schools
December 2015: Student recruitment
January 2016: Prepare for visa application and travel arrangements
March 2016: Departure for UK

Expectation of UK host school

• Provide academic courses for students, GCSE courses preferred
• Provide either homestay or dormitory accommodation for students for duration of study camp
• Provide Chinese students’ opportunities to participate in host school student’s academic, sports and arts classes
• Cost competitive
