Beijing Zhimian Education is seeking a UK partner to host two groups of up to 20 Chinese students on English study programmes this summer. The participants will be 12 to 18 years of age, and the programmes should each be two to three weeks in length, with the aim of introducing the participants to the UK’s education system and British culture through learning English in the UK.
Besides the general summer school programme, it would be desirable to include visits to university campuses and local independent schools, as some of the participating students are planning further studies in the UK.

- Accommodation in student halls or with local host families

- Extra-curricular activities (in evenings or afternoons) and cultural sightseeing (on weekends)
- Invitation letters to support the visa application process
- Transportation to and from the airport
- Course certificates
Services provided by Beijing Zhimian Education
- Recruitment of suitable participants in China
- Chinese group leaders to assist the students throughout the programme (ratio of one group leader to every ten students)
- Coordination of students’ UK visa applications and international flight tickets
Brief introduction of Beijing Zhimian Education
Beijing Zhimian Education was founded in 2015. Its services include providing overseas education consultancy, English training, and organising extra-curricular activities and summer/winter school programmes. It has successfully organised programmes in the US, Australia, and New Zealand, and is now looking to expand its business to the UK.

10 June 2016: Results and feedback to be provided to UK institutions
UK institutions interested in this opportunity should submit the below information to siem.china@britishcouncil.org.cn by 12 noon GMT on 4 May 2016.
• Programme proposal, including an introduction of the institution, a study curriculum, and an outline of arrangements for catering, accommodation and transportation.
• Quotation outlining all the costs related to the proposed programme (excluding international flights and visa application fees, which will be covered separately by the participants).
Please note, the British Council will charge a £1,000 management fee, which should be included in the quotation.
