Employability is a key theme for the British Council’s education work in China. Over the past few years, the British Council China has delivered a series of activities to promote the advantages offered by a UK education in terms of employability in both China and the UK.  The career development workshop is one such project we run every year that aims to help returned UK graduates successfully enter into the China employment market.

To reach more Chinese graduates from all over the UK, the British Council China will run a webinar which we will invite speakers from various organisations to talk about the Chinese job market and key job hunting skills. Following the online session, we will run a series of workshops in four cities across the UK.

Topic of the webinar: China Career Development Workshop
Date: Saturday 19 October 2013 (Saturday)
Time: 10.00 a.m. (UK time)
Participation fee: £ 400 (plus 20% UK VAT) per University

The webinar will last for around 90 minutes. Places for the webinar are limited and will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. The British Council retains the right to decline any registrations if the webinar is already full.

Registered universities are encouraged to broadcast the session in a lecture hall or similar space to Chinese students. The session will be mainly delivered in Chinese. There will also be time for students to ask questions about career development. A rehearsal session will be arranged prior to the event for testing and the time will be informed to all registered institutions in due course.

The British Council reserves the right to cancel the webinar by notifying registered UK institutions if the overall registration does not meet the minimum number of 10 participants. Please also refer to the Terms for Services for the British Council’s SIEM.
