Chengdu Neusoft University is seeking UK partners for joint master’s programmes on Computer Science, Information Management, Digital Arts and Linguistics for their diploma students.
There are currently more than 10,000 full-time students studying in Neusoft’s campus, including more than 2,000 diploma students. The joint master’s programmes will be combined with pre-master’s programmes.
The purpose of the pre-master’s programme is to provide the opportunity to diploma students to experience higher education in the UK. The content should include English language learning and subject-related courses, with a length of six months to one year.
The principal of Chengdu Neusoft University will lead a delegation visiting the UK in May 2016. This group would also like to visit some UK universities to explore possible collaborations.

Areas of responsibilities for the two collaborating parties
Services provided by UK partner:
- pre-master’s programme in the UK (including course content design, teaching, accommodation, entrance examinations if necessary, final examinations, etc. Further details will be agreed upon between the UK partners and Neusoft University.)
- full master’s degree programme in the UK (including course content design, teaching, entrance examinations if necessary, final examinations, etc. Students should obtain a full master’s degree after successfully completing the programme.)
- guidance to Chinese students on studying in the UK
Services provided by Chengdu Neusoft University:
- all promotion in China and recruitment of Chinese students
- logistics in China (including setting up entrance examinations, supporting UK visa applications, booking international flights, etc.).
Brief introduction of Chengdu Neusoft University
Chengdu Neusoft University (CNU), founded and run by Neusoft Corporation and the Yida Group, is one of the full-time undergraduate institutions approved by the Ministry of Education in China. CNU mainly focuses on engineering-related topics, however it also offers a minor in management and arts. CNU also runs the ‘State Cultivation Base of IT Talents’, a provincial IT talent training centre, and has two large industry parks called the ‘China Torch Program Chengdu Digital Entertainment Industry (Talent Training) Park’ and ‘China Digital Media Industry (Talent Training) Park’.
CNU has more than 10,000 students. It is located in the World Cultural Heritage site of Dujiangyan and Qingcheng Mountain, Chengdu, and covers an area of nearly 400 thousand square meters, with a floor area of 160 thousand square meters.
