The British Council is inviting UK institutions to nominate their top students and graduates, as well as leading academics and alumni, to participate in the GREAT Creator – UK Graduate Show 2015, which has been scheduled for October 2015 and will be held in Beijing, China. This is an opportunity for UK institutions to raise the profile of their creative achievements and educational offering among a large Chinese audience.

GREAT Creator is a major exhibition designed to showcase the UK’s creative leadership. Through exciting exhibits, lectures and workshops, visitors will gain a unique insight into the cutting-edge progress UK graduates are making in a wide range of creative and design fields, such as fashion, jewellery and illustration. Some of the UK’s best academics and most influential alumni will also be invited to share their experience and insights during the exhibition.

The GREAT Creator exhibition is intended as a showcase of the creative work currently taking place in the UK’s education sector and related industries. It will allow visitors to discover the UK’s creative potential and learn more about the research activity behind recent industry advances. By catering to diverse interests, the exhibition will provide a platform for education representatives, industry leaders and young professionals from both the UK and China to come together and exchange their expertise, while providing Chinese students with first-hand information on pursuing their creative interests in the UK.

UK institutions are invited to nominate their top students and graduates in related subject areas to showcase their creative projects, designs and entrepreneurial ideas at the GREAT Creator exhibition in October 2015. 10-15 participants will be accepted in each category and sending institutions will need to cover transportation and insurance costs for participants and their exhibits.

Institutions are also invited to submit proposals for interactive workshops, lectures and master classes delivered by their leading academics and alumni. If approved, the British Council will cover international travel (return economy class) and accommodation in Beijing.

Please send nominations to may.huang@britishcouncil.org.cn with details of the nominees’ work and proposed exhibits by 30 May 2015.
