Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College www.jsahvc.edu.cn (JAHVC) seeks to establish partnerships with British universities or colleges. These partnerships could take the form of student exchange, teacher exchange, joint research or joint programmes.

The suggested subject areas for such a partnership include: Animal science, animal husbandry, veterinary medicine, food science, aquaculture, landscape gardening, the agricultural economy and agricultural mechanisation.

The president of the college is leading a delegation to the UK in September or October 2015 and looks forward to meeting with interested parties for face to face discussions.

Background

Jiangsu Agri-animal Husbandry Vocational College www.jsahvc.edu.cn (JAHVC) is located in Taizhou city, Jiangsu province in East China.

The college has 13 schools and departments. There are nearly 1000 staff members and about 15000 students. The students, aged 18 to 20, come from 26 provinces all over China. 70 per cent of students are studying towards a degree in agriculture and husbandry.

JAHVC has a board director position on Jiangsu Modern Animal Husbandry University-Enterprise Cooperation Association and collaborates with many local enterprises in China on technology development, academic research and talent cultivation. It also serves as a key member of the Chinese Modern Animal Husbandry Education Group.
