The British High Commission and British Consulates-General in Canada are pleased to accept applications for the 2013 Canada-UK Collaboration Development Award (CDA) Programme.

These are small (£1250; ~$2000) travel grants that aim to enable lead researchers to establish collaborative projects between UK and Canadian researchers by facilitating face-to-face meetings. Applications for CDA travel awards are due September 1, 2013.

The Collaboration Development Award (CDA) should help advance long-term projects that deliver concrete outcomes, develop institutional links, and work towards international research priorities. CDA welcomes all applications with strong collaborative projects, especially those focused on the 8 Great Technologies and building on existing agreements/ relationships such as the Canada/UK Joint Declaration, Joint Innovation Statement, and Polar Research MoU.

The Collaboration Development Awards are funded by the Foreign and Commonwealth Office Superfund.
