Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University (GPNU) is located in Guangzhou city, Guangdong province. One of its roles is to provide pre-service teacher education and in-service teacher training for vocational institutions in the province.

As commissioned by a local secondary vocational school in Guangdong, GPNU is looking for a UK partner who is interested in collaboration on a 2-week UK-based professional development programme for 20-25 management members of the secondary vocational school.

Budget

Budget has been confirmed as 35,000RMB per person (around 4,215GBP, according to British Council book-keeping rate for Feb 2023)

  • 20 people: 700,000RMB (84,337GBP) in total
  • 25 people: 875,000RMB (105,422GPB) in total

The budget needs to cover all costs in the UK, including training fee, accommodation, meal, transportation, translation and other related visits, but not international flight or visa application.

  • Stage 1: project initiation, budge approval and commission to GPNU
  • Stage 2: planning / sourcing / shortlisting potential UK partners
  • Stage 3: proposal finalised and obtaining approval from government
  • Stage 4: final decision on UK partner selection
  • Stage 5: contracting and delivery

Please note that:

  1. This is at early stage of project planning and proposal finalisation. Though budget has been confirmed, GPNU still needs to get local government’s approval before UK partner can be confirmed and contract can be signed.
  2. The programme is NOT managed by the British Council. Contractual agreements will be made directly with Guangdong Polytechnic Normal University. The British Council accepts no responsibility or liability for any contracts agreed between the training provider and GPNU.
