The German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD) is the world’s biggest organisation dedicated to international exchange among students and academics and to the internationalisation of German universities.
The International DAAD Academy, the DAAD’s training and development unit, are looking to appoint a single contractor to deliver face-to-face intensive English courses for teachers at academic institutions in Germany teaching courses in English in an English-speaking country in Europe and have asked the British Council to share the tender documents with suitable organisations in the UK.
The tender is for a Framework Agreement for intensive language courses for teaching through the medium of English for up to 150 participants per year, including a programme of cultural and regional studies.
Courses at two levels are to be offered by the Contractor:
- Beginners: aimed at participants who have a very sound B2 level of proficiency and have not previously taught any or only very few courses in English
- Advanced/higher: aimed at participants who already have a very good level (C2) of proficiency in English, serving to refresh, deepen and expand existing knowledge.
The course venue must be a university town or a university must be located in the immediate vicinity of the course venue (max. 30 km), which is accessible by public transport.
The value of this contract is up to €200,000 net.
