Nigeria Maritime University, Okerenkoko based in Delta State Nigeria is looking for a partner UK institution or consortia of institutions to support its ambitions to grow its academic programmes and other university operations.
The partnership can take any of the following forms:
1. Staff and students exchange programme with prospective UK Universities
2. Capacity building/training of staff of the university
3. Linkage for Sea-time programmes for students
4. Linkage on e-learning programmes (hire of academics and professionals) for students
About Nigeria Maritime University
The Nigeria Maritime University was established in 2015 by the Federal Government of Nigeria to provide highly skilled technical human resources to shore-up the manpower needs in the maritime industry in Nigeria. Record shows that there is a huge deficit in the manpower requirements to effectively manage the Nigerian maritime industry and to boost the economy of the nation. The university currently runs thirteen (13) Departments within three (3) Faculties, namely: Faculty of Marine Transport, Faculty of Environmental Management and Faculty of Engineering.
