Introduction of HKU SPACE Centre for Degree Programmes
With the motto ‘Education with a Global Vision’, CDP was established in 2003 in response to the demand for academic advancement of sub-degree graduates. Due to the increasing demand for postgraduate training, CDP also offers full-time postgraduate diploma and master’s programmes in media and business areas. Extending the range of programmes further, CDP now offers a number of executive courses, in collaboration with Central Saint Martins College of Arts and Design (CSM) and Royal Central School of Speech & Drama (RCSSD).

Currently, over 30 full-time undergraduate programmes are offered in collaboration with universities mainly from the UK and Australia, covering the following areas:
- Arts, Communications, Media & Cultural Studies

Should there be opportunities, CDP will also consider other new or niche areas of studies (such as cultural & creative industries, sciences e.g. food & nutrition) currently not covered in the Centre’s portfolio of partnership programmes.
At executive level, in line with the Centre’s devotion to aspiring leaders and nurturing talents of the next generation, CDP is keen to explore collaborative courses that are both intellectual and intercultural by nature, with topics of interest primarily in arts/art and cultural management, space and city branding, creativity and innovation, social entrepreneurship, as well as any other unique and inspiring courses appealing to professionals from across various industries.
