The Vincent Wright Chair
Call for Applicants for a 1-semester Professorship in Paris

Applications are invited from academics currently employed in a British university or research institute for the annual Vincent Wright Chair for a period of six months from January–June 2015.
During his lifetime, Vincent Wright played a very considerable part in orienting comparative research in Europe. The aim of this Chair is to develop comparative research within a European framework, reflecting the innovative spirit, sense of humour and intellectual curiosity which characterised the man.
The Chair aims to reinforce and consolidate Franco-British academic co-operation in one of the five following areas:
- Economics
- Contemporary History
- Political Science
- Sociology
- Law
The successful candidate will be invited to lecture at both undergraduate and graduate level for approx. 4 hours per week over a 12 week semester. The approach will most likely be comparative and lectures may be given in either English or French.
