Brunei: Increase your profile and brand awareness amongst sixth-formers

British Council Brunei is organising an education fair to coincide with British Council Thailand’s Education UK exhibition to provide immediate information to students exploring study opportunities in the UK for the Year 2013.

2. Create awareness and maximise brand exposure within the Brunei education sector.

Date: 29 August 2012
Time: 9:00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Venue: Maktab Duli College
Participating fee: £300 per institution*
Target Audience: 2000 sixth-formers and the public

Places are limited to a maximum of 15 institutions on a first come first serve basis. Please complete the application form attached.
There will be added opportunity for your institution to increase your profile by presenting a seminar on a specific subject area or a general topic such as ‘Choosing the right course and the right institution’.

Special:
We require a specialist speaker to deliver the final subject specific seminar for school counsellors and career advisers after the event, where the topics should cover: 

• The UCAS application process
• Considering an application – A UK admission tutor’s point of view
• The various admissions test and deadlines
• Tools to help students to write an outstanding Personal Statement
• How to write an effective reference letter?

Benefits for the volunteering institution to present the final seminar for school counsellors:

• Your institution’s logo will appear on all our advertisements, web site and official invitation to schools and Ministry of Education
• Your institution’s name or speaker will be mentioned in our press releases / post-event releases and facebook updates after the event

Draft programme:

9.00 a.m. – 9.30 a.m.    Setup
9.30 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.    Exhibition opens to the public
10.00 a.m. – 2.00 p.m.  Seminars (45 minutes each seminar)
2.30 p.m. - 4.00 p.m.    Seminar for school counsellors  (1 slot)

*Note: Participation fee includes our staff time, return coach ride from The Rizqun International Hotel to the venue and light refreshments during the fair but not inclusive of air fares, hotel accommodation and courier services.
