BRIEF INTRODUCTION TO THE GREAT BRITAIN CAMPAIGN
The GREAT Britain Campaign is the UK government’s initiative to promote the UK internationally as a GREAT place to visit, study and do business. The British Council India is a partner in the campaign and through it, we are raising awareness and promoting the UK’s strengths in education, English language, and the arts.
OPPORTUNITY
The 2018 GREAT scholarships have been redesigned in consultation with BUILA and feedback from UK higher education institutions . The objective of the scholarship redesign is to make it more attractive to Indian students and offer greater value for the UK HEI.
The GREAT scholarship 2018 will be jointly funded by the GREAT Campaign and our valued partners, UK higher education institutions. We are currently calling for expression of interest for the GREAT 2018 scholarships. The scholarships will target prospective undergraduate and postgraduate taught full-time students who will enrol in September 2018/ February 2019.
BENEFITS FOR UK INSTITUTIONS
Joining this initiative provides an opportunity for UK higher education institutions to increase their brand visibility in India and scholarships are an excellent marketing too. The scholarships that are funded under this initiative will be named as “GREAT–Name of the University Scholarship – India 2018” and will be promoted through an integrated marketing campaign funded by GREAT and managed by the British Council in India.
The scholarship marketing campaign will run nationwide from May to June 2018 and cover key online and offline marketing channels, activities and events. We have 750,000 followers across our social media channels to whom this opportunity will be promoted and we will work with participating partner institutions across both digital and print media channels to ensure effective promotion to the target audiences across India.
All participating institutions are encouraged to further promote the scholarships through their own channels.
