In the last five years, India has seen the emergence of a number of schools offering an international school leaving qualification like the IB or the A-levels. The population of students studying at these schools have considerable amount of disposable income and are looking opportunities for study abroad.

Keeping this market development in mind British Council India would like to announce a ‘Schools Mission’. The Schools Mission will be an opportunity for UK Institutions to talk about 'Undergraduate studies' in the UK through seminars and table/chair events in key schools in India. The event will focus on undergraduate recruitment and building relationships for future engagement.

UK institutions are invited to participate in the event, which is scheduled for the month of August 2012 and will comprise of visits to five schools in East (Kolkata, Bhubaneshwar, Shillong and Gauwhati), West (Pune and Nagpur), North (Chandigardh, Dehradun and Jaipur) and South India (Bangalore and Ooty).
