British Council Armenia in partnership with Beeline, a leading Russian telecommunications company with international operations in Armenia, Laos, Ukraine and Vietnam, has launched an annual nationwide student competition with an aim to identify innovative, creative and talented individuals and to promote the UK as a study destination.

The audience of the project includes state universities in Armenia, the Ministry of Education, other local educational authorities and all Undergraduate students across Armenia.
Annually about 30000 students are reached through the project, about a 1000 get directly involved by submitting innovative proposals in all academic disciplines and about a hundred receive a scholarship to cover their tuition fee. Only one randomly selected winner gets an opportunity of taking a short course in the UK.
The events are extensively covered by the local media and attended by the Minister of Education and other key stakeholders.
What We are Looking For
British Council is looking for UK institutions who can offer 1 or 2-week summer courses with a focus on English Language in Law / Legal English, suitable for international students with B1/B2 level of English.
Preference will be given to the institution which is able to provide full or partial discount on tuition fees and accommodation.
The course shall be organized in August 2014.
What are the benefits?
By taking part in this programme the UK partner will have exposure to the prospective student network in Armenia as well as other student decision makers through British Council’s media partners.
Institutions offering summer courses and accommodation will get the following branding exposure benefits:
• Posts and mentions on Facebook and Twitter social networks.
• Your name mentioned on the largest prospective students’ groups and unions websites
• Your name mentioned in press releases to media representatives such as TV programs, newspapers, web links, etc.
• Your name mentioned at the welcome-back ceremony hosted by the UK Ambassador combined with the launch of the Beeline Scholarship 2014-15 in September with the help of main TV channels and where prizes and providers will be mentioned
• After attending the summer school, the winners will be writing about their impressions of the summer school experience to be published in the media.
