British Council Agent and Counsellor Training Suite

The British Council’s online suite of training for agents and counsellors provides a practical and professional training programme to enable these important influencers to recommend the UK as a study destination to international students. The ‘British Council Agent and Counsellor Training Suite’ courses are a great way to learn, encourage and track professional development.  These courses give agents and counsellors the opportunity to become a ‘British Council Certified Trained Agent or Counsellor’.

The British Council Agent and Counsellor Training Suite  provides school counsellors, college counsellors, teachers and education agents online courses with the knowledge and training required to become a fully Certified British Council Agent or Counsellor.  Learners who complete each training level are listed on the British Council site and those who complete Certificate level will feature in ‘British Council Agent and Counsellor Global List’ .

Study UK provides a range of resources to support education agents and recruitment professionals who are working with internationally-mobile students and their families. Learn more on the Study UK website.

  • Toolkit for Education Agents

The toolkit includes advice for students applying for courses, the latest information on preparing to study in the UK, and student safety and wellbeing. It also includes information and resources about the UK, the new UK Graduate Immigration Route and completing university application forms. There is a selection of branded videos that can be used and merchandise that can be printed to give to prospective international students including notebooks, bags and pens. 

The toolkit is available to download from the British Council brand hub.

  • Study UK: A Guide for Education Agents free online course

Hosted on the FutureLearn online course platform, this three-week online course will develop your knowledge of UK education, the UK as a study destination and the benefits of studying in the UK.

The next available dates are listed on the registration page and once registered, you will receive a notification when the next course starts.
