More and more top scorers in the Gaokao are heading overseas. According to the latest research posted by the cuaa.net (alumni network), after completing their bachelor degrees in China, few of the highest Gaokao achievers will choose to work or start a business in China; instead, most of them opt to go abroad to study for Master's degrees and PhDs. It is estimated that the 60 per cent of the best-performing students will go abroad. This news has attracted so much attention because of the two key elements involved: "Gaokao top scorers", and "60 per cent". The fact is that studying overseas has become increasingly popular in recent years – a now-common phenomenon which merits attention and consideration. Reports People.com.cn
