VFS Malaysia have announced on twitter that they will be re-opening their offices in Kuala Lumpur, effective 12 July 2021 onwards.
They will resume operations with strict health and safety guidelines. It is important to note that all visits/interaction with the office will be based on prior appointments and that the office premises will cater to a limited number of customers at any given time.

British Council comments:
This is much welcome news for students and visa applicants preparing to apply for their visas to UK. Students can now plan their visa applications and visa processing at the VFS office in Kuala Lumpur. The VFS offices had earlier made arrangements for processing of emergency visa applications during the MCO, but this announcement that they will re-open their KL offices 12 July onwards was keenly awaited and will help to reduce the stress that students and parents were facing as they prepare to join campuses in UK.
It is recommended that students be advised to plan for their visa processing ahead of time keeping in mind that given reduced capacity at VFS offices, there will be a rush of applications as we head into peak visa application time. We also recommend and request UK institutions to allow for flexibility in dates of travel and joining, as there may be delays in visa processing/issuance time. It will help offer holders to receive all their supporting documents from the universities earlier to be able to apply for visas effectively.
The current lockdown (MCO) in Malaysia has been extended to an indefinite date as the daily cases of Covid-19 cases continues to increase. Most organisations remain closed under the current situation till further notice.
