The University of Chicago has announced that it will open a new centre in Hong Kong, with funding from the Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust. The new centre is a further development following Chicago Booth’s establishment of an Executive MBA centre in Hong Kong in 2014.

This announcement is the second in the space of a month regarding overseas universities expanding in Hong Kong, following an announcement from University of Wollongong in October.

The Chicago centre is set to expand the university’s engagement in Hong Kong to include additional programme delivery, academic exchange, and research collaboration. In particular new programmes will relate to social enterprise and innovation.
