Results of the Tawjihi (General Secondary Education Certificate Examination) winter session were released on Saturday.

Education Minister Omar Razzaz on Saturday announced the results of the 2018 Tawjihi winter session in a press conference on Saturday, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Of the 175,943 students who registered for the session, 150,502 sat for the exam, including 89,441 regular students and 76,021 private-study applicants, whose pass rate reached 66.1 per cent, Razzaz said.

Razzaz said that the passing rate was 69.7 per cent in the scientific stream, 53 per cent in literary stream, 66.4 per cent, 75.3 per cent and 78.9 per cent in the Sharia, IT and health educations streams respectively.

For vocational streams, he said that the overall pass rate reached 68.9 per cent in the industrial stream, 65.8 in agriculture and 74.2 for per cent in the hospitality stream, while 72.5 per cent passed in the household education stream.
