The British Council will be running a new burst of the Study UK advertising campaign in a bid to drive up international student recruitment for 2020.
As well as focussing on our priority markets - China, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Pakistan and Turkey – this targeted campaign will also move into nine new markets: Saudi Arabia, Nigeria, Singapore, Taiwan, Vietnam, South Korea, Canada, Germany, France. By including Germany and France, we will also be establishing the UK study proposition in key EU markets as EU students prepare for new fee arrangements from 2021.
Study UK is delivered by the British Council, in partnership with the UK government’s GREAT Britain campaign, which encourages people to visit, invest, and study in the UK. It is the UK’s national campaign to promote the UK to internationally mobile students, as a first choice study destination all over the world.
Through this burst of the campaign we will encourage students to apply for and to continue with any current application to study in the UK. We will provide reassurance to students, letting them know that the UK is open and welcoming international students in 2020. In addition, we will affirm the new Graduate Route as an incentive for studying in the UK – given the 2020 cohort will be the first to benefit.
Activity will start at the beginning of August, through a paid digital campaign using display, search and social media. Information will be posted on the Study UK website as soon as it is available.
