Last week multiple events had been organised in the capital city of Bangladesh to promote Study in Australia.
Australian Education Service (AES) organised a day long Open day on 11 August at their office with participation from five Australian HEIs.
20 Australian HEIs participated in another event on 12-13 August at Pan Pacific Sonargaon hotel. The event was organised by IDP Bangladesh.
The students appreciated the face to face consultation opportunity, course/credit transfer information, scholarship information and on spot application submission facility.
The key objective of the events were to support local students in, course and University selection, scholarships, application submission, offer acceptance and tuition fee payment, visa information and pre-departure orientation.
The inadequate number of seats and quality of education in local HEIs is a prime driver for the demand for foreign HE qualifications amongst local students. Foreign HEIs are using this opportunity to recruit more and more students from the Bangladesh market.
Through recent Student Insight Survey we have seen that the UK remains the first choice for local students who are aspiring for higher studies in a foreign country. Thereby, this is a potential opportunity for UK HEIs to promote what the UK has to offer to students of Bangladesh.
