A study conducted by Tata Consultancy Services, (TCS) across 14 cities in India called TCS GenY Study 2014 -15 revealed students in the age bracket of 12 to 18 years studying in colleges or high school are aggressive internet users and extremely active on social media channels.
As per the survey results , students in Ahmedabad are becoming more tech savvy and are adapting to the digital lifestyle and this trend is seen amongst all youngsters in the city.
The findings of TCS GenY Study 2014-15, India’s largest survey of over 12,365 high school students across 14 Indian cities, reveal that today’s young population is very social by nature and over 75% spend an hour online every day. The survey results also remarked that 36% of today’s youngsters still consider face-to-face or in-person communication as the most preferred way of communication while 46% prefer to be digitally connected.
