On the afternoon of July 12, an annual quality report on the HR cultivation of China's higher vocational education institutions for 2012 was released. The report points out that over the past three years, China's higher vocational education achieved "zero" breakthrough in higher education for 8.5m families. 89.6 per cent of college graduates found jobs six months after they graduated from higher vocational colleges in 2011. The employment rate is similar to those who graduated from universities with a bachelor's degree. Their average monthly salary was RMB2,482. The report shows 66 per cent of them are working in private enterprises. Only 15 per cent  of them are working in state-owned enterprises. Reports Education on Line
