The Supreme Education Council recently updated their scholarship list.  New applicants receving SEC sholarships will not be able to enroll in a number of UK, US and Egyptian institutions due to existing clusters of Qatari students in those institutions.  The SEC has tagged some institutions with the description 'limited seats available' - this means that the SEC will only sponsor a small number of new students to that particular institution for the academic year 2015/2016. The rest of the institutions listed have been 'temporarily suspended' for the same academic year and will receive no new SEC scholarship students. Nevertheless, students are still able to join any UK institutions they wish if they are self-funding.

You can access the updated list through the SEC website.

Institutions affected by this update are labeled in red and feature the following statements:

Please note that the updated list does not reflect any additions or removals of institutions from previous lists published by the SEC and is based on clusters only. The British Council was informed that a new list will be implemented after the current list expires in 2016.
