Last year over 1million candidates took part in the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination. This year the HSC (under Board of Intermediate and Secondary Exams, Bangladesh Technical Education Board) examinations as well as Kamil exams will start from 1 April 2015 which is the equivalent exam under Bangladesh Madrasah Education Board.

From 2013 to 2014 the number of candidates appearing for HSC and equivalent exams has increased by 12%. After the examination, students target to get enrolled in the undergraduate programmes offered by the Public Universities, Private Universities and colleges under National University and Bangladesh Open University.

In the last couple of years we have seen a constant growth in number of examinees graduating through Higher Secondary Certificate.

There is a visible gap between enrolment capacity and the number of students passing each year which is forcing many students to pursue foreign qualifications. UK is the second biggest destination for these students pursuing international education.

The HSC, Kamil and HSC under BTEB exams will be ending in the first week of June 2015.

Students in Bangladesh, begin their preparation for university admissions right after completion of their exams, even before the results get published.

This would be the perfect time for you to meet students to promote your institution to them as the starting point. Targeted marketing to this highly potential market will give you the opportunity to increase your student numbers from across Bangladesh.
