The Indian government are currently drafting their new national education policy and are considering granting universities the opportunity to offer full online degree courses. Online elements are currently restricted to 20% of a degree course, however it is thought the increase will assist with the country's aim to double its college and university enrolment from 25% to 35% GER (gross enrolment ratio) by 2035. The focus is to produce job-ready graduates which is an important priority for the government.
We are hoping to get more details on this and look forward to identifying any opportunities for UK universities to establish partnerships with Indian universities, sharing expertise and experience of a world-class education legacy.
